Candidate information is collected from referees on condition of anonymity. References have been provided to prospective employers for centuries through informal conversations. At Workloop, we're just digitising and optimising the process so it's more reliable and a little easier for everyone.
We think our reference system is extremely accurate.It's very hard to cheat a system with more than 900 possible answers on a standard reference report. This number is increased further as more referees are included (at no extra cost).
Recruiters and employers with an approved Workloop account can request access to any candidates reference information. If the candidates authorises release of their references, full access is provided.
Once a referee submits a reference, it's locked against the candidates profile for the period agreed by the candidate and referee. If updates are needed, an additional reference can be submitted and included in future reference reports.
Whilst candidates have control over their use of the Workloop platform, referee feedback cannot be selectively removed or adjusted. Candidates can elect to dispose of all references after a specified period, or request additional references to include in future reports or even delete their entire Workloop profile (i.e. all references).
You'll be pleased to know the answer is NO. As we are not a marketing service this means a candidate's verified academic and work history record cannot be updated unless it is shown to be factually incorrect through advise from the academic institution or employer.
Yes. In fact, we recommend a minimum of FIVE references should be included in each Candidate Reference Report. By requesting additional referees, you will have a more comprehensive understanding of the candidates strengths and weaknesses.
